I reside on the East Coast of the United States and bounce between Massachusetts and Vermont. I've been working in IT for over a quarter century and still mostly hate computers. I mainly work with Oracle software as a data architect with an emphasis on performance. I prefer running databases on Exadata Engineered systems, but enjoy other environments as well. These days I work with GoldenGate to push data from On-Prem to the cloud. The contradiction of my work with free and open-source software and my day job does not escape me.
When I'm not working, I spend my free time repairing old clocks, playing guitar, working on radios, riding fixed gear bicyles _everywhere_, and building things.
